My holiday

During the first week of  my holiday I went to my nephew’s birthday. We celebrated it at rainbows end. It started at 3:00 pm and lasted 3 hours. There were so many amazing but scary rides that we could go on. But my most favourite ride was the Stratosphere which made people spew up a bit after.

We ate some hot chips and some hot dogs. They were delicious and tasty. Finally we sang the happy birthday song and ate some Birthday CAKE!! then waited for the to ride the night rides. After the night rides we left rainbows end and had another party because my nephew still wanted to celebrate his birthday and we had a big feed at his house . So overall it was a awesome birthday party.

Today was the last session we had for badminton.

I partnered up with mangilia and we played against joseph and jerome. It was fun hitting the shuttle cox because it was, like you're hitting a little man and hes like jumping off the racket back and forward ,back and forward , and it feels nice when you have victory .

My favourite thing about badminton is hitting the shuttlecock over the net. I found learning the different grips difficult.

Today was the last session we had for badminton.

Become Aware

We can become aware of our environment by reading about our plant and animal life , and the pollution of our earth in newspapers, books and magazines. We need to understand how all living things depend on one another.

zoo trip

On Friday the 4th, of April 2014 me and my school,teachers, and parents came to the zoo and the teacher put us into groups of three with the instructors, and the instructor's names are Laura,John and Richard. The first activity was going to see the keas in their enclosure. The keas had long sharp beaks,long sharp claws,and green and grey feathers.

Next Laura took us to the rain forest to see the native birds and native plants and trees.I saw a kereru and kakariki bird flying above me.I also saw the nikau tree and the mamaku tree.

Richard took us to see the kiwis in their enclosure. Before that we saw the big massive eels in the tank. Richard informed us that female eels will swim all the way to Tonga to lay their eggs and they leave it to hatch then they swim back. When the babies hatch they find they way back to their parents.

Finally it was time to explore the rest of the zoo with my group. I saw a tarantula,seal and hippopotami.I felt exhausted at the end of the day,but enjoyed seeing all the different animals.
